The Brentwood Centre

Brentwood, Essex

Working together with Brentwood Borough Council, we carried out a full overhaul of the mechanical ventilation, electrical main distribution equipment and installation of a solar PV system.

PES Ltd isolated, dismantled and removed all of the existing, outdated equipment from service and arranged for the removal from site accordingly. Following the removal of the old mechanical plant, the roof plant deck was re-covered using a multi-layered bituminised waterproofing system, before the specified ventilation plant could be installed.

Following the completion of the mechanical ventilation upgrade, PES worked closely alongside the building tenant to arrange the replacement of the existing electrical distribution equipment to allow for the installation of a solar PV system. The building was placed onto temporary generators whilst the works were being carried out, ensuring the tenant had minimum down time.

Working in conjunction with Sol Fuel, Planned Environmental Services completed a 120kW solar PV installation located upon an unused roof. This was the first of many steps Brentwood Borough Council are taking to reduce their carbon footprint at the Brentwood Centre.
